This is an articulated choker necklace inspired by the repetitive patterns found in ancient Kongo designs that represent the movements and forces of life. The fine silver is textured to shimmer softly under the light. Each link is carefully melted to close in a ball. A 24k gold leaf is applied to add a touch of colour but also because it is the colour of spirits in ancient Kongo symbolism.
This very tactile and fluid necklace will sit just under your neck. It is about the cycle of birth and growth.
N.B : despite being made mainly of fine silver it is hallmarked of the lesser silver 925 used for joining the pieces.
